Jessica Palaoro holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Old Dominion University, as well as a Master’s degree in conflict analysis and resolution from George Mason University. She currently works with disabled combat veterans diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Her past research includes understanding how unconscious post-traumatic stress behaviors can undermine reconciliatory processes, as well as how PTSD can impact conflict between veterans and their families. Jessica is presently focused on diversity issues within the United States, including understanding America’s division around gender identity. Her latest research involves how to reconcile LGBTQ rights and organized religion.
