Chip Hauss reports on his participation in this first of five working conferences--this one held last November at Oberlin College. The purpose of the conference was to bring together a very diverse team of experts (diverse in terms of backgrounds and areas of expertise as well as gender and race) to discuss more effective ways of addressing the many wicked problems our country currently faces. While these problems existed before November, 2016, many have been exacerbated since that time. The group tried to develop ideas about better ways tackling these problems than the stalemated political process that is currently making things worse.
Much more information can be found about the conference at the conference website including an extensive set of readings and two audio-taped sessions (linked to the conference home page).
