Psychological Thinkers focus on finding better ways of adapting democracy to the realities of human neuropsychology. Examples include Mari Fitzduff's work on neuroscience and peacebuilding, Beyond Conflict's efforts to apply brain and behavioral science to violence prevention (profiled on BI here), the Peace Psychology Division of the Society for the Study of Peace, Conflict, and Violence, and the work on humiliation and dignity done by Evelyn Linder and her colleagues. Other contributors include social psychologists like Jonathan Haidt who is helping us understand how social media is transforming the way we think; and George Lakeoff, who is helping us understand the complex and often counterintuitive way in which we think about political issues and how that thinking can be manipulated. These and other examples are shared below.
