7. Massively Parallel Roles & Tasks

Communication Thinkers look for ways to strengthen democracy by correcting distortions in the flow of information. Examples include media watchdogs such as Ad Fontes Media and AllSides Media, which help us better understand popular media biases, and the Solutions Journalism Network is helping people better "understand and shape the world by focusing reporting on responses to problems and what we can learn from their successes and failures." Other communication thinkers include Anand Giridharadas' efforts to help us understand what it really takes to persuade people, Georgina Sturge's primer on what everybody ought to know about statistics and how not to be misled by them,and IPIE's strategies for improving the global information environment.
