Political and Democracy Thinkers

7. Massively Parallel Roles & Tasks
Political and Democracy Thinkers consider the nature of democracy, how it is different from autocracy, plutocracy, theocracy, and other forms of government, and what is needed to strengthen it in the many places where it is "backsliding" or otherwise being threatened. They also look at the nature of political contention, the structures under which such contention occurs, and how that relates to the success of and challenges to effective democratic governance. Likewise, they look at the structure of different democracies to again discern what structures and processes are delivering on their promise of effective governance for the citizenry, and which structures and processes are falling short.
