Shamsia Ramadhan holds a diploma in human development and a B.A. in social ministry from Tangaza College Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi. In 2006, she was the program coordinator for a Kenyan social justice movement. She worked as a research officer and trainer with the Peace Network of Kenya and the U.N. Development Program and has conducted research on land policy in Kenya.
