One reason is that they do not address the powerful influence organization-level factors have in defining appropriate behavioral norms and constraining changes. In this paper, I propose that relational networks and the nature of hierarchies affect individuals' routine conflict behaviors through managerial control systems. The point this paper makes is that interpersonally-oriented interventions may well exert direct effects on individuals' conflict behaviors in any setting, but the extent of the effects will be constrained by the control system of the organization in which they are embedded. | | Authors / Editors | Bendersky, Corinne | | Download Citation | This citation can be downloaded in the following bibliographic database formats: Tagged; XML; BibTex |
