The funding for the original Beyond Intractability--including much of the current content--was provided by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation which funded the project very generously from 2001-2006. Without their encouragement and strong support, Beyond Intractability would not exist.
Additional funding was also provided by the Smith Family Foundation, the University of Colorado, one major anonymous donor and numerous small donors.
In addition, many of the project participants provided "in-kind" funding by volunteering their time to write papers, provide interviews, and to review and critique the system.
Our thanks go to all of the several hundred people who have been involved with the project since its inception in 2001.
